November 18, 2015 - Launched by UNEP in May 2013, the GW2I is a global multiple stakeholder platform comprised of UN agencies, international organizations, governments, scientists, private sectors and major groups and stakeholders to provide the foundations for partnerships to initiate comprehensive, effective and sustained programmes addressing wastewater management. In 2015, President of SUEN was selected as the Chair of the GW2I Partnership Steering Committee for two years. The GW2I Meeting was held on 16-17 November 2015 in Washington D.C. Dr. Aslıhan Kerç  of SUEN attended the meeting and gave a speech on “Potential Solutions: Partnerships & Enabling Environment for Better Wastewater Management” outlining the structure and activities of the Initiative. She was also a panelist at the wastewater panel held within GPA (The Global Programme of Action for the Protection of the Marine Environment from Land-Based Activities) 20th Anniversary High-Level International Meeting.
