

SUEN attended the 7th World Water Forum
April 18, 2015 - Organized under the main theme 'Water for Our Future', the 7th World Water Forum was held in Daegu & Gyeongbuk cities of Republic of Korea on 12-17 April 2015. In addition to the thematic, regional and political processes, the 7th Forum featured a fourth Science and Technology process.
Within the Forum's thematic process, SUEN co-coordinated the "Sustainable Wastewater Management and Reuse" session with United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). The session was moderated by Dr. Aslıhan Kerç, Project Development and Implementation Coordinator at SUEN. More info
Mustafa Sarıkaya, Administrative and Financial Affairs Coordinator, represented SUEN as a panelist at thematic session T.4.5.4 on "Facing the changes in due time: Specific training for basin organizations". More info
President of SUEN Prof. Ahmet Mete Saatçi attended the regional session INR.4.3.EU. "Transboundary water management: In search of excellence in Europe, Africa and the Arab region" as speaker at the synthesis and recommendations part. More info
Specialist Burcu Yazıcı of SUEN made a presetation on "The paradigm shift: from resource management to urban water management in Istanbul" at the regional session INR.2.3.EU "Living with water in cities of tomorrow". More info
Burcu Yazıcı also gave a speech during the European regional discussion at the regional session INR.S&T.EU "Linking Science and Technology for managing global water challenges". More info
The S.2.1 session of the Forum's science and technology process titled "Safe reuse of wastewater and nutrient recovery in agriculture" was coordinated by SUEN in cooperation with UNESCO International Hydrological Programme (UNESCO IHP). The session was moderated by Dr. Aslıhan Kerç. Burcu Yazıcı gave a presentation on "Treatment process selection for agricultural reuse". More info
